Senior Post: Kelsey Kacz

Hello!! It’s Kelsey Kacz here, and I’m super happy to be blogging right now! :) This trip has been such an awesome experience, and I love pretty much every minute of it. Although most of the trip has been waking up too early, sleeping on our very long bus rides, and singing in concerts of course, it’s been the experience of a lifetime. I feel more connected to everyone than I ever have before on a trip, and I’m so grateful for that! I think my favorite day so far was coming from Montreal and ending up in Vermont. I got to talk to my mom, who I’ve missed so much and couldn’t talk to because of the cell service in Canada. Also, we got to experience the Good News Garage. It made me feel great inside to know that we were fixing up donated cars so that we could give them to those less fortunate. After driving to the spot we were staying, however, the day was the best it could ever be. We were able to stay in cabins right along the shore of Lake Champlain. It was absolutely gorgeous!! And while a lot of our friends went to go shopping, Kara Combs, Katie Wishnew, Taylor Musial and I went to go “explore.” We walked along in the woods to see if we could see anything cool, and we sure did. We walked up to these rocks that were sort of hidden behind some trees, and ended up looking over the beautiful lake. It was breathtaking! A comment that Katie said really moved me, she said, “How can someone see something this beautiful and not believe in God?” I felt like I was on top of the world with some of my best friends beside me J. After walking back towards the camp, we looked out at the water and saw other people swimming. We decided that we really wanted to go swimming as well, and had almost two hours until we had to be ready to go do a concert. We figured it was just enough time to jump in and swim awhile before we had to go shower and get ready for the concert. Not bothering to go up and change into our swimsuits, we jumped in wearing our clothes. The water was absolutely freezing! But we swam awhile and got pretty used to the water. That whole day was really liberating, and I’m so happy that it worked out that way. Vermont was absolutely beautiful and I’m extremely excited that we got to experience it. I love Ministry Tour 2010! Two words to describe it: life changing. :)

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
