Favorite Memory from Youth Group: So many memories. Having been to Slovakia twice ('04 & '08) I would say those tours were some of my favorite. Just getting to know the culture and exploring different languages. I remember when I was in high school and we would have dance parties in hotel hallways which included classics such as "Barbie Girl" and "Vengaboys"... maybe a little "Hanson". Yeah... showing my age for sure. I enjoyed the trips out to Winter Park Colorado because I found my most favorite winter destination and sport! But within all of that I found friends who I know will always be there for me. Friends that can always trust to have my back. I've made friends here and there throughout life but the friends I made while in the youth group at OSLC are some of my closest... and that's what I pray our youth get out of these four years and specifically these ministry tours.
What are you looking for most on tour? I am looking forward to this tour for a number of reasons. First... I've never ridden the ferry across Lake Michigan before. That will be fun! I hope we see a giant squid! I'm really looking forward to being back in Quebec and trying out some of my French. J'mappelle Graham (my name is Graham), Je ne pas parle Francais (I do not speak French). I'm also looking forward to helping our students share the love of Jesus to the people we meet. Some of the greatest moments on these trips are when the students notice the looks on the faces of those who are watching our performance and know they are doing good. Oh and... I'm looking forward to checking in on Niagara Falls and making sure it's still there. Haven't been since the tour in 2002!
